Online exam monitoring, without the lockdown.
Institutions configure what each assessment requires. Students see those requirements up front and consent to them as a condition of the exam. Policy is enforced through consent and transparency, never by seizing the student's machine.
Three policy tiers
Honor
The lightest tier. Students attest to the assessment rules and work without monitoring streams. The session still closes with a signed receipt of the attestation.
Observed
Students consent to evidence capture as a condition of the exam. Webcam, 360 room view, and optional screen share flow into one timeline for human review.
Verified
Everything in Observed, plus consent-gated focus mode and a complete evidence package sealed with a cryptographic session receipt.
Consent-gated focus mode
When an assessment calls for it, the student chooses to silence notifications and stay in the exam tab for the duration. It is a commitment the student makes, not a lockdown the platform imposes. Stepping out is always possible, and doing so raises an amber flag for human review instead of ending the exam.
Live transparency beacon
A persistent, visible indicator shows the student exactly what is being captured at every moment. If a stream is on, the beacon says so. Nothing records silently.
Evidence packages
When a session ends, flagged moments, streams, and context assemble into a structured package for institutional reviewers. A person reads it and decides. The AI never issues a verdict.
Cryptographic session receipts
Every session closes with a signed receipt of what was captured, what the student consented to, and what was flagged. Tamper-evident documentation that students and institutions can both rely on.
